Pouilly Fumé
Designation
Pouilly-Fumé
Grape variety
Sauvignon blanc
Area
2 hectares
Soil
This wine comes from 2 different terroirs found in the Pouilly Fumé appellation: terres blanches and griottes.
Vinification
After being hand-picked and sorted in the vineyard, the grapes are transported to the winery with the greatest care to preserve the integrity of the bunches.
Pneumatic pressing and cold settling for 12 to 24 hours precede natural fermentation in temperature-controlled vats. This vinification gives the wine its typical character and respect for the terroir.
Features
Pale yellow with silver highlights.
A beautifully complex nose. Initially, sunny notes of yellow fruit (apricot), peach in syrup and powdered almonds. With aeration, the aromatic bouquet becomes more complex and airy. Notes of citrus peel (orange) and orange blossom emerge.
Clean attack. The palate as a whole is beautifully taut and salivating. A slight bitterness marks the finish, reminiscent of citrus fruit (grapefruit).
Ageing potential
Our Pouilly Fumé reaches its full potential 6 to 12 months after harvesting and will give you pleasure throughout the ageing process, which can last from 3 to 6 years depending on the vintage and storage.
