Guide Hachette des vins 2026

  • Sancerre blanc Lieu-dit "Chêne Marchand" 2023 **

A renowned terroir (with caillottes soils) masterfully interpreted in this cuvée, skilfully matured in 228l and 500l barrels, which opens on aeration with the lemon notes of the grape variety relayed by the vanilla touch of the oak. Dense and rich, with good acidity and a hint of iodine on the finish, this wine has everything it takes to evolve gracefully.

A serious, intense, well-bred Sancerre that will soon make a fine bottle.

  • Pouilly Fumé 2023*

A star, as last year, for this cuvée, with its luminous colour and elegant, very floral, fruity nose. The palate is round on the attack, finely acidic, with lovely supple flesh and fresh fruit with hints of preserved lemon and grapefruit.

A sober, delicate Sauvignon that exudes good taste and freshness.

  • Sancerre rosé Cuvée "La Mercy-Dieu" 2023 ** (French only)

Pale with silvery tints, the colour is typical of rosés vinified "en gris". The nose is along the same lines: discreet but delicate, fruity (peach, citrus) and fresh (peas, mint). The palate is in tune with the wine, harmoniously combining liveliness and volume, richness and elegance.

A gourmet rosé.

  • Sancerre white Lieu- dit "Les Monts Damnés 2022" *

The barrel ageing clearly marks the nose with notes of vanilla and toast, but does not mask the wine's floral and mineral scents. The palate is very round, with a hint of acidity that lengthens the finish.

  • Pouilly Fumé 2022*

On the nose, fruity notes (peaches, lemon) are interspersed with hints of candied fruit and honey, reflecting the advanced ripening of the grapes and giving an almost liqueur-like sensation to the olfaction. Supple, with a marked sweetness without being excessive, the palate is consistent.

A rich Pouilly, best served with fish or poultry in a creamy sauce.

  • Sancerre white Lieu-dit "Chêne Marchand" 2021*

Combining fruity notes (apricot, orange peel) and wood (praline, fresh wood), the nose is elegant. On the palate, the wine's liveliness and firmness are well-balanced by its fatness, but the ageing still dominates: wait and see.

  • Sancerre blanc Lieu-dit " Les Monts Damnés " 2021*

On the nose, intense scents of bergamot, honey flowers and yellow fruit are enriched by woody notes (gingerbread, coconut). The palate is round and full-bodied, but well supported by good acidity and well-balanced oak, before finishing with a lovely saline finish.

A Sancerre that time is sure to soften.

  • Red Sancerre "La Mercy-Dieu" 2020* vintage

On the nose, generous aromas of red fruit (raspberry marmalade) combine with fresher notes of eucalyptus on a woody background. A soft attack, followed by dense, powerful tannins. A rich, full-bodied Sancerre, well-suited to ageing and game dishes.

  • Pouilly Fumé 2020*

The nose unfolds an attractive aromatic sequence as the wine is aired: a light herbal touch, ripe apricot and candied fruit. On the palate, the fatness is balanced by a good liveliness that stretches out the finish.

  • Sancerre white Lieu- dit "Chêne Marchand" 2019**

A golden yellow hue reveals an initial nose of hazelnuts and other dried fruits. Then, as the wine is aired, aromas of mellow apricot with a hint of vanilla give a glimpse of what's in store on the palate. Full-bodied and round, but with just the right amount of freshness to ensure aromatic persistence: these are the remarkable taste characteristics of this 2019.
